Tandem Flight Lessons
An instructional tandem flight is the best way to get you Hang Gliding without extensive training.

The instructor flies a glider that is built for two people and can handle over 500 lbs. in payload. A brief introduction to the techniques necessary and what not to do, is discussed before the flight. This is a same-day event where the instructor manages the safety while you get to enjoy the amazing experience of soaring in a hang glider first hand. The instructor manages the take-off and landing, but in the air (with the instructors supervision) you, the student pilot, can take control and fly the glider.

Your tandem flight will begin at the Andy Jackson Airpark in San Bernardino.
We load the glider, then drive either to the 5,000 foot or the 4,000 foot launch (msl). During your tandem flight, the instructor will explain the techniques of controlling the glider and the required approach path to our chosen landing spot.

Tandem Flight: $240.00

Optional "GoPro" video are available, and paid on the day of the flight.
Video: $30.00

A student's max weight limit is 200 lbs. and minimum age is 18. You must be physically able to run during the launch. Flights average anywhere from 20 to 35 minutes, but can also vary from 15 to 50 minutes depending on the weather conditions.

Be advised that tandem hang glider flights in the United States are conducted under an exemption granted by the FAA and the hang gliders (classified by the FAA as un-powered ultralight vehicles) do not meet aircraft certification standards set forth by the FAA.
